We first met at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2008 and since have created our own collaborative way of composing music. We write primarily by ear, using improvisation to develop pieces from small starting points. Over the last decade we have worked together in many creative settings both in the UK and abroad. Individually and collectively, we've performed with influential artists including Kae Tempest, Sam Lee, Anoushka Shankar, Nitin Sawhney, and Jocelyn Pook, amongst others. We have written music with young musicians and non-musicians, been commissioned to write music for dance and theatre pieces, worked with orchestras, in care homes, in prisons, with parents & babies and more - all alongside creating our own duo repertoire. Writing music with others is an integral part of our practice and feeds back into our work as a duo.
